Open!

by Susan Kelley on 11/19/14

It's our favorite time of the year! For those of you who have the family tradition of selecting your tree while everyone is gathered, we open Thanksgiving Day.  We hope you visit this season, even if it's just to share a hot drink.  Susan and Marv

Thank You, Marlene

by Susan Kelley on 12/05/13

Aunt Marlene just passed away, after a long illness.  We thank her for passing the farm along to us.  We feel extremely lucky to be able to preserve what Grandpa and Grandma started and Lee and Marlene lovingly tended and added to. We are in the height of tree sales and not a day goes by where someone fondly retells a story about one of them.  They mention Grandpa's feistiness, Grandma's tolerance, Lee's smile and generosity and Marlene's infectious smile.  You all will be missed.

15 Minutes of Fame

by Susan Kelley on 12/01/13

It took 5 of us to lift the 10 foot Doug Fir into the shaker! The trunk was as round as a dessert plate.  All of us huffed and puffed but were only able to hold it in place a few seconds before it popped out like a cherry pit from a 10 year old's cheek.  I trudged over to the customer with a red face and an apology.  Sorry we were not able to do a proper job, I offered her a refund.  She chuckled and said it was worth the money just to watch " the spectacle"!  Hope you have a jolly Christmas!

Giving

by Susan Kelley on 11/16/13

Whatcom county is one of the most giving I have ever seen.  Every month there is a walk/run, free meal, a clothing drive among many other worthwhile activities.    Times are hard for many.  Whatcom knows thinking of others is an important part of the season and excels in this area.  We are proud to be members of such a community.
